This US-based health insurance provider has always had a strong focus on talent development, offering a wide variety of development resources to their almost 100,000 healthcare associates. However, they realized that employees often did not know how to find or use these resources, leading to confusion about how to drive and grow their careers within the organization. Understanding the importance of effective employee development solutions, the health insurance provider set out to create a comprehensive development program, specifically focused on driving career progression – linear or horizontal – of their top performers at, or below, Director level.

The health insurance provider had been working with Talogy previously, having used the Talogy Caliper personality assessment in the organization for 3 years. With Talogy already being an established and trusted talent partner and understanding Talogy’s scope of solutions could help them create a powerful development program, they decided to partner with Talogy on this project. The partnership with Talogy allowed the health insurance provider to provide associates with 1:1 personalized coaching.
The client created a 4-month pilot program for a small select group of participants to address this challenge. Ultimately aiming to support internal mobility, the guided journey included support on how to leverage their in-house career development resources, workshops delivered by their internal HR team, and 1:1 sessions with Talogy coaches.
Participants were also asked to complete the Talogy Caliper assessment at program initiation, giving them invaluable insight into their strengths and development opportunities though intuitive reports that enabled them to take control of their personal development.
On top of that, participants received a personalized Talogy coaching guide at the end of the program, containing actionable development prompts and activities that enabled them to keep taking steps towards their personal development even after the program had finished.
Talogy’s coaching allowed a safe and organic place for participants to discuss their strengths, opportunities, and career goals, which enabled them to have better conversations with their leaders and more focus on their career development path going forward. Talogy was an excellent partner throughout this program for both the program team and program participants.

Evaluation surveys were distributed to participants both before and after the program, enabling the client to truly measure effectiveness.
The survey proved the program was a great success:
