Challenge

With origins in Germany, REMONDIS has expanded its operations quickly across the world during the 20th century. Operating in Australia since 1982, REMONDIS has grown and diversified to become one of the country’s largest waste and recycling companies.

In 2022, REMONDIS Australia was looking to launch an Emerging Leaders Programme. The company wanted to effectively cultivate leaders to lead the organisation towards a sustainable future. With the programme, they were looking to accelerate leadership capability of high potential leaders, enhance their leadership effectiveness and ensure they have the necessary leadership skills to support their team and customers into the future. And they decided to partner with Talogy to bring this programme to life.

Solution

Talogy’s expert consultants worked closely with REMONDIS to create the programme content and worked with the participants throughout the 16-month cohort:

Programme designed based on best practice and a range of validated leadership frameworks

Services delivered:

  • Leadership profiling, development planning, pre-programme coaching feedback
  • Six immersive workshops across six national locations focused on topics such as Leading with Emotional Intelligence, Change Management, Finance for Non-Finance Managers and Leading Strategy

 

The programme was rolled out in three phases:

  • Phase 1: Setting participants up for success
    Initial profiling and planning to prepare participants for development work.
  • Phase 2: Knowledge exchange
    Participants attended targeted workshops to exchange knowledge and expertise in their respective development areas.
  • Phase 3: Knowledge embedding
    Participants received customized development plan driven by analytics and workshop feedback.

 

By the end of the cohort, all the participants and REMONDIS are provided with development plans.

For participants:

  • Individualised development plan with insight into their strengths and development opportunities, enabling them to improve their leadership skills.

For REMONDIS:

  • A comprehensive science-backed leadership profile report to facilitate future leadership development.
  • Valuable insights into internal leadership capabilities.

The Emerging Leaders Programme commenced in February 2022, and was rolled out across Australia. Underpinned by our world class inclusive behaviours assessment Talogy Perceptions,cognitive ability tests, and 360 feedback assessments, the programme provides analytics into participants’ competency and leadership styles, while offers a highly experiential and integrated learning opportunity, focusing on practical application and measurable uplift in leadership capability.

We worked closely with the client for each step of the programme – from setup to knowledge embedding. This way we could ensure consistency and alignment in communication, workshop content, and coaching.

Results

  • 100% of participants were satisfied with the programme, with 80% of them found it well above expectations.
