Talogy, a leading talent assessment and development partner, and Scottish Water, Scotland’s publicly-owned water supplier are delighted to announce their selection as finalists in the 2023 In-house Recruitment Awards’ Early Careers Initiative category. This recognition is a testament to their collaborative efforts in creating Scottish Water’s Graduate and Apprentice Selection Programme.
Scottish Water turned to Talogy for support in the initial stages of graduate and apprentice recruitment. To meet the expectations of high volumes and the need for a seamless, valid, and engaging solution, Talogy implemented a combination of personality and cognitive assessments to identify the competencies essential for success in Scottish Water’s graduate and apprentice roles.
Talogy’s evidence-based approach included pass mark and adverse impact analyses to ensure fairness and consistency across candidate groups. The results provided valuable insights, allowing Scottish Water to select candidates that perfectly matched their campaign requirements and resources.
Andrew Hamilton, In-house recruiter (specialist people consultant) from Scottish Water, remarked: “This recognition underscores our commitment to innovation and excellence in the graduate and apprentice space. Our partnership with Talogy has allowed us to overcome recruitment challenges and create a robust Graduate and Apprentice Selection Programme. Together, we have embraced data-driven solutions to ensure fairness, consistency, and rigour in our recruitment process. We are proud of the impact we are making, and we look forward to continuing to provide opportunities for the next generation of talent at Scottish Water.”
Laura Collier-Niblett, Business Development Manager from Talogy added: “We’re honoured to be finalists in the 2023 In-House Recruitment Awards alongside Scottish Water.
