\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Uitdaging van de klant<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2015 werd aan de London South Bank University (LSBU) een nieuwe vicerector geworven om een transformatiestrategie en ambitieuze vijfjarenstrategie uit te voeren om de reputatie te verbeteren. Er waren veel veranderingen in de organisatiestructuur en het bestuur, waarbij slechts \u00e9\u00e9n lid van het oorspronkelijke directieteam het nieuwe directieteam vormde dat met de vicerector verder ging. Er waren belangrijke managementproblemen, zoals weinig vertrouwen, een \u2018ieder voor zich\u2019-mentaliteit en slechte communicatie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Talogy werkte samen met LSBU om het managementklimaat en de capaciteiten te ontwikkelen om culturele transformatie mogelijk te maken en managers uit te rusten met de emotionele intelligentie om de verandering vakkundig te sturen. Het gewenste resultaat was dat managers mondiger zouden zijn, anderen aansprakelijk zouden stellen, open zouden staan voor verandering en innovatie en degenen aan wie zij leiding geven zouden inspireren en betrekken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Oplossing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We begonnen met een diagnostische fase, waarbij we gestructureerde gesprekken voerden met het Executive en Operations team (dat 26 mensen telt). We wilden immers een beter inzicht krijgen in de huidige cultuur, het managementgedrag, ambities en uitdagingen.&nbsp;De tweede fase was een interventie in 3 fasen met de senior managers. We hielpen hen zichzelf en hun impact te begrijpen, en hielpen het team om te bepalen en te veranderen hoe ze dingen deden met het oog op de gewenste cultuurverandering. Wij hebben ook een enqu\u00eate over het managementklimaat gelanceerd om na te gaan in welke mate het managementgedrag momenteel in overeenstemming is met wat voor effectieve verandering wenselijk is. Andere activiteiten hebben ook geholpen bij het identificeren van gewenst gedrag voor managers binnen LSBU, gekoppeld aan de strategie en cultuurverandering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In de derde fase hebben we een kader van managementkenmerken opgesteld om te schetsen hoe goed management er bij LSBU uitziet, met gedragsindicatoren voor elk kenmerk. Dit zorgde voor duidelijkheid en een gedeeld begrip van de culturele verwachtingen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Er zijn 35 gedragingen vastgelegd voor strategische managers en operationele managers. Deze werden gebruikt om een online 360\u00b0-feedbackinstrument op maat te cre\u00ebren, dat door alle strategische en operationele managers is ingevuld. We organiseerden feedbacksessies voor strategische managers en trainden het OD- en HR-team van LSBU om feedbacksessies te organiseren voor operationele managers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In het verlengde hiervan heeft LSBU een Leadership Academy opgezet met ontwikkelingsprogramma&#8217;s rond de managementkenmerken en kernvaardigheden en -kennis voor managers. Talogy cre\u00eberde de module &#8216;Leadership at LSBU&#8217;, die managers inzicht geeft in het waarom (waarden, strategie en doel), het wat (managementgedrag\/focus van inspanningen) en het hoe (emotionele intelligentie) van managen bij LSBU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resultaten<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De positie van LSBU in de ranglijsten voor hoger onderwijs is aanzienlijk verbeterd sinds de interventie. Zij hopen nog beter te scoren naarmate de verbeterde cultuur meer verankerd raakt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Universiteitsranglijst Guardian<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2015: 112\/116 (3e percentiel)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2018: 78\/121 (35e percentiel)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Universiteitsranglijst The Times en Sunday Times<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2015: 122\/123 (1e percentiel)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2018: 106\/128 (17e percentiel)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Universiteitsranglijst Complete University Guide<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2015: 120\/123 (2e percentiel)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2019: 93\/131 (29e percentiel)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>De verbeterde bedrijfsresultaten blijken tevens uit de externe prijzen en erkenningen die LSBU in de afgelopen drie jaar heeft gekregen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2016: won &#8216;Entrepreneurial University of the Year&#8217; in Times Higher Education awards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2017: een zilveren rating in het Teaching Excellence Framework, een overheidsinitiatief om onderwijs van hoge kwaliteit te erkennen en te belonen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2017: haalde de top 20 in de Britse universiteitsranglijst van The Sunday Times voor vooruitzichten voor afgestudeerden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2018: won de &#8216;UK modern university for graduate salaries&#8217; en &#8216;University of the Year for Graduate Employment&#8217; in de Good University Guide van The Times en The Sunday Times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>LSBU heeft via haar betrokkenheidsenqu\u00eate ook een toename van 5% in management en vertrouwen in management geconstateerd. De gemiddelde score voor personeelsbetrokkenheid is gestegen van 58% in 2015\/2016 tot 69% in 2018\/2019.
