Talogy has partnered with CIC organisation Psalt to develop a workshop designed to help under-represented people access and gain confidence in the world of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop, which is part of Psalt\u2019s Come Correct Programme, called Crushing the Assessment Process, is to provide an overview of assessments at work, looking at what they are, and why they are used, as well as providing some hands-on, practical experience of using them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s an area little taught in schools or universities, and for those that find entering the world of work daunting, assessments can add to anxiety, fear, and pressure at a time when candidates are keen to show themselves at their best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With more companies using assessment as part of their hiring process, and also as part of their diversity and inclusion strategy, incorporating psychometric or capability tests into candidate selection and recruitment has become the norm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talogy and Psalt aim to break down any barriers relating to assessments and provide increased confidence to those entering the world of work for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop will cover a variety of assessments including: personality assessments and competencies, situational judgement tests and cognitive ability assessments. It will also cover assessment centres and the most common types of exercises likely to be encountered, such as role plays, case studies, group discussions, and presentations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Decisions can be made off the back of our tools and assessments, affecting people\u2019s lives and the jobs they are accepted into, which is why a major emphasis is placed on fairness and recognising the importance of allowing people from all backgrounds to showcase their true ability, skills, and potential, in a way that feels authentic to them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leroy Marke, Head of Partnerships from Psalt said, \u201cIf we want to get more truly diverse talent into our organisations, we must make it accessible for people from all walks of life to apply and navigate the selection process. By teaming up with Talogy, we hope that we can remove some of the fear of the  unknown so that assessments become more a formality than obstacle to someone\u2019s career path.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These workshops will be delivered on the 19th<\/sup> and 20th<\/sup> September and aim to help those attending to navigate the recruitment space with confidence, knowledge, and authenticity. Attendees will leave these workshops with a greater awareness of recruitment processes, an increase in confidence, and a development plan to help navigate future interviews and selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
